The Letter to Seek ‘Permission’ for a Late Night is How Applications Should be Written

You are adults, be responsible!
You need to get permission to go out as you are our responsibility.

We hear these two lines in our lives on the everyday basis, many times they are said minutes apart. It is every time according to their convenience. A girl should know how to do certain things as she has grown up and is an adult. But she still needs to seek permission from authorities with valid reasons if she intends to go out.

We all have seen our hostel friends canceling plans just because they can’t be out after the said time. They need to do formalities and ask for permission from their warden with a valid reason. This is what two girls, Preeti and Aditi, did when they had to go out to destress. They wrote a formal letter to their warden. The letter was posted on the Facebook by Pinjra Tod, which is an autonomous collective effort to ensure secure, affordable and not gender-discriminatory accommodation for women students across Delhi.

This is what the girls wrote to their warden and surprisingly got approval too.

Since then the letter has been shared by many applauding the girls for seeking the permission for all the right reasons.
