5 ‘Oh So Easy’ Ways To Get Rid Of Stretch Marks

Stretch marks are not only associated with pregnancy but can happen to anyone whose skin stretches due to physical changes. If you go through major weight gain or loss, then they are bound to occur. They are usually in places like arms, buttocks, knees, lower abdomen, chest, etc. Having no side effects, they are not liked because of how they look.

There are a lot of cosmetic cures for them but most of them have many side effects and are quite costly too. However, there are many home remedies that can help in this regard.

1. Aloe vera gel


It is one of the best remedies known to remove any scar or patch on the body and it also makes the skin glow. Gently rub the aloe vera gel straight from the plants regularly on the stretch marks daily, let it stay for an hour or so and then wash it off. You can use the gel from various cosmetic brands but using the fresh stem ones would be more effective.

2. Vitamin E


It affects the texture of our skin greatly. This oil is known for its beauty benefits. Simply buy the Vitamin E capsules from the market and apply the oil on the area for about 15 to 20 minutes, massage in circular motion for it to get absorbed easily, then leave it for an hour or two. Leaving it over night would be the best option.

3. Lemon


It is known for its bleaching properties. It is known to lighten the skin and bring out the inner glow. Take the half of lemon and rub it over the stretch marks, gently squeeze it to apply the juice and keep rubbing it with the lemon. Leave it on for about 45 minutes and then clean with a moist towel or shower. Do not apply it on dry skin and make sure to moisturize later.

4. Egg white


Being rich in protein and amino acids, it helps in brightening the skin. If used regularly, it can help in removal of any kind of scar on the skin. Take the white portion and mix thoroughly, apply a thick layer of it on the required portion after cleaning it with a cleanser. leave it till it dries then clean it off with a moist towel. Apply olive oil after it to moisturize.

5. Sugar


White sugar granules make excellent exfoliators. The old marks can be dealt with by removing the dead skin from them. Take sugar granules, some lemon juice and almond oil. Rub it in a circular motion over the marks for 5-10 minutes and then wash off. Moisturise with olive oil or almond oil. Regular use will bring out the inner glow of the skin.

While opting for these remedies, it is important to keep in mind that these things take time. The best way would be to stick with one method and try to follow it consistently for best results.
