7 Hair Care Tips For Curly Hair

Taking care of your curly hair is a big task because, in spite of looking beautiful and cute, they are very unruly at times and quite difficult to manage. They demand more care and more time along with more patience.

Here are a few tips to take better care of your curly hair.

1. Extra conditioning

Having a curl hair makes combing a tedious task. The ends tend to be dry and the hair becomes unmanageable. It is better to use extra conditioning product so that they become soft and untangled for better combing and managing.

2. Do not over wash

Washing your hair for more than 2 times a week can lead to their dryness and dullness. The tips of the curly hair do not get that much of the natural oil as they are and thus, washing them too many times can cause further damage. Wash them for only 2 times a week and do not forget to deep condition.

3. Hot oil massage

It is always good to use conditioner for curly hair but that does not mean that you can skip oiling them. Hair needs to be oiled properly for their health. Oiling lets the tips of the hair get the nutrition and minerals that they need to remain healthy.

4. Detangle

It is always good to detangle your hair when they are wet, detangling dry hair will make them more frizzy. Use a wide toothed wooden comb to detangle hair and do it with light hands.

5. Air dry them

Do not go for blow drying your hair, a little heat and static will make your hair frizzy and you would probably look like a frizz ball. So let them dry on their own.

6. Don’t mess with your curls

Do not try to over style them or style them when they are damp. Just use a bit of styling gel and scrunch your curls to the desired length and do not touch them till they dry. Also if you want to style them, use a good heat protectant.

7. Use cold water

Always wash your hair with cold water as it will make your hair shinier and frizz free. You can use luke warm water when the weather is cold but otherwise, avoid the heat of any kind.
