When Shah Rukh Khan does a movie, whole world awaits for it’s release. He has such a fan following that people take off from their work, offices and schools to watch his movies. But lucky are those who get a chance to meet him in person. Yes, meeting The Shah Rukh Khan.
Being grown up watching his movies like DDLJ, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dil To Pagal Hai and many others I was in love with him. Swades and Chak De India had inspired me in every way. I had never though I will be meeting him one day while watching all these movies but that happened when I had to attend his much awaited movie FAN’s press conference. Work really takes you places and that is when you love your job so much.
The press conference was at North India’s biggest multiplex- PVR Superplex, at Logix City center, Noida. Amidst high security for the superstar there were people waiting just for a glimpse of their favourite star. Every person present there was a SRK fan, waiting for his arrival. When he arrived the whole atmosphere changed. Not only girls but even guys were getting mad by SRK’s presence. The aura created when he entered was full of excitement and it kept on increasing with every passing moment.
When the question answer session began everyone wanted a chance to talk to Shah Rukh. Many questions were asked to him and he answered them with the wit he is known for.
On FAN…
“….the movie is unique in many ways. The movie is based in Delhi and being a Delhi-walah I loved playing one in the movie. Also FAN does not have any songs in it. The movie has an international feel to it because of the stunts and the locations. Also the way of story telling is quite different in it….”
On has he met an obsessed fan…
“….most of my fans are women and they leave a few lipstick marks on my face which I don’t mind. But on a serios note I have not encountered such things in real, though the film’s director Maneesh Sharma was quite obsessed with me while making it….”
On the character of Aryan and Gaurav…
“….the character of Aryan is quite different from me. Though he is also a superstar but he is mature, sensible and knows the right thing. He is realist in nature. Whereas Gaurav required a lot of effort physically. I had to modulate my voice, the makeup took 4-5 hours. Also a lot of VFX have been used on character of Gaurav to make him look short and young….”
On who will he like to see in his biopic…
“….casting Sachin Tendulkar will be great in a biopic made on me. But I would say it is all a director’s choice to see who will suite best in the role, though may be Aryan or AbRam can play me in the biopic…”
On whose FAN Shah Rukh is….
“….I admire a lot of people, but if you will ask whose fan I am then definitely I am fan of my kids. I love them unconditionally and that is what a true fan is all about….”
