A girl who is raped can go to the authorities and report the incident but what will a model do who is raped by thousands of people when she is just doing her job. When a model does some event she is doing a job to earn, to grow in the field she chose as a career option. But when so many eyes scan every inch of her body she feels raped by those shameless eyes.
This is the story of almost every model at an Auto-Expo. The event was about cars and bikes, launch of new automobiles and the future plans of automobile companies. The people had come to see these things. What else a person will be doing at such a place. But you are so wrong.
Models were present to make the cars and bikes more attractive. They were there to tell people about the vehicle and answering to their curious questions. They were doing their job for which they will be paid. She was doing it may be because she was an aspiring model or someone who wants to earn some extra pocket money. But may be they were not aware of the ugly side of doing this event. They knew money is good but not what they will be facing.
When Auto Expo opened its gate for the general public things took a turn. Lakhs of people visited each day. People who were more interested in oggling at the models than having a bit of interest in cars and bikes. The models are stared at, pushed and touched in an objectionable manner many a times. But all they have to do is smile and handle the situation as gracefully as possible. They click their pictures from angles that are not at all decent. Most of the girls would have punched those jerks had it been outside the premises where they are at work.
The motor show turns out to be a place where these girls feel naked as every eye stares them. They feel molested. When will people realise that she is just doing a job, she is a human and she deserves respect. Stop harassing them with your looks and your actions. Stop behaving like uncivilized people who don’t know how a girl doing her job is to be treated.
We are not saying everyone who goes to such event has this sole purpose but people who such cheap things are in majority. We also request organisers to do something so that girls don’t go through all this.
