You Must Watch This Ad by Deepika Padukone’s Foundation If you

We live in a country where we don’t talk about mental health. Going to a psychologist means there is something wrong with your brain, according to the society we live in. This prevents many of the individuals from seeking medical help when needed but what if you don’t even know you need help. Depression is one such area where many people don’t understand that it is not just a phase of not feeling good but a genuine mental health concern.

Deepika Padukone is one of the few celebs who has accepted that she was suffering from depression. She recalls, “It all began on 15th February, 2014. I woke up that morning with a sick pit-ish feeling in my stomach. On one hand, I was doing extremely well professionally, but on the other, I felt low, empty and directionless. The worst part was that I couldn’t understand what was happening to me. Waking up every morning had become a struggle. It was clearly the toughest year of my life. I was suffering from Anxiety and Depression.”

Now she wants to help all those who are suffering from stress, anxiety, and depression. Her organisation, The Live Love Laugh Foundation, has been working to help those in need and making people understand that it is a genuine thing which needs to be taken seriously.

In the first ad by the foundation, they are asking for looking for the clues in the changed behaviour of our loved ones. Ask them again if they say things are ok, listen to them and support them.
