Mending A Broken Heart Won’t Be That Difficult

The heart is the most important part of our body and has one of the strongest muscles in our body. But ironically, when in terms of love or relation- when it is given to a person, it is the most vulnerable thing of all. Learn to mend and heal your heart with these tips. Don’t let the heartbreak overwhelm you and gain control over you. Instead, exert your control over it.

1. Feel the Pain, don’t avoid it

It is a fact- you have to grieve in order to move on. If you go around the pain, you will bump into it somewhere else, like a traffic jam. By going through the intense pain, it will lose its stronghold on you.

2. List your strengths

To keep going, know your strengths. And talk to your strengths. And talk yourself into becoming stronger. List it out and speak it, by the last line you will break out from the sadness and try to be a productive individual in this world.

3. Help someone else

When you turn your attention to another person- especially someone who is struggling with the same kind of pain- you forget about yourself for a split moment. And that’s what you need.

4. Work out

Exercise increases the activity of serotonin and stimulates brain chemicals that foster growth of nerve cells. On an emotional level, you are taking charge and becoming the master of your mind and body.

5. Change your habits

The point is to break up the old associations and give yourself a new environment for your new life. Move the furniture. Use a different shampoo, delete your ex’s number, get a haircut-anything will help.

6. Listen to music

‘Your song’ as a couple is not recommended. No music that reminds you of the ‘way you were’. But listen to music, it aids in thinking.

7. Start journalling

Even though it might sound like an assignment, it is a good way to release all the emotions. Even writing poetry can help.

8. Get touched

Replace sex with massages. A good massage helps you relax, makes you happy and provides you a sense of touch without the complications. Don’t ask for a happy ending here, though.
