BMW’s Sexy New Concept Won’t Need Any Protective Gear

German automaker BMW has presented a motorcycle concept that eliminates the need for the rider to wear protective gear, including a helmet. The company claims that the bike has self-balancing systems to keep it upright both when standing and in motion. The bike offers to ride advice and comes with a pair of glasses that span the entire field of vision.

The German automaker unveiled the sleek, self-balancing prototype the company released as part of its 100th-anniversary celebrations, which were held in Santa Monica, California. The zero-emissions bike has self-balancing wheels designed to stand upright even at a complete stop, the stability that the company says will allow riders to ditch their helmets.
