sleep deprivation

Nowadays, a lay man’s day ends so fast and he lives the night more happily because our mighty generation doesn’t want to sleep at night. All they care about is texting or Whatsapping or Instagramming or Facebooking. They wanna have those long romantic chats with their ‘bae’ or go on a night out every weekend. We fail to see how much we’re disturbing our body and it’s functions. Our eyes get swollen, dark circles become prominent, we get sick more often and the list goes on. We don’t really notice but there is so much damage that we’re doing to ourselves. Let me tell you how you’re doing that.

sleep deprivation

1. Memory loss

When you sleep for less of hours, you automatically feel dizzy and inactive. This dizziness doesn’t let you focus on anything and become most forgetful. Sleep deprivation can cause brain deterioration, which may lead to memory loss.

2. Heart Disease

Getting six hours or less of sleep each night causes the body to produce more chemical and hormones that can lead to heart disease. These hormones and chemicals can increase the risk of stroke and problems such as high blood pressure and cholesterol, diabetes, and obesity.

3. Brain Damage

Men, be sure to get enough shut-eye to protect your mental health. When you don’t sleep for a sufficient amount of time, it can lead to an increase in the levels of molecules that are major sources for brain damage.

4. Death

People who sleep anywhere from six and a half to seven and a half hours tend to outlive those who sleep for less. Several nights of too little sleep can lead to more than 700 genetic changes that could significantly affect your health.

The damage you’re causing to yourself willingly is not a good choice.
