Let’s face it, Apple has a closed computing ecosystem and they want consumers to use their apps and machines at all times. But, what if you want to transfer photos from your iPhone(or an iOS device) to a PC, which does not have Apple iTunes software?
Just follow these steps:
1. Connect your iPhone or iPad to a PC using a USB cable.
2. A dialogue box might pop up asking if you trust this computer. Tap ‘trust’
3. Next, Windows will detect the iPhone as a camera. Go to This PC/My Computer and double-click on your iPhone or iPad icon.
4. Now, go to Internal Storage> DCIM, you will find all the folders with your videos and pictures here.
5. Copy and paste whatever files you wish to save to your PC
