But not for this bride. She didn’t even wear the lehenga, in the first place. Does wearing shorts instead of lehenga skirt with all other things like blouse and dupatta, jewellery count??

She believes in freedom. She ditched her bridal lehenga for cool shorts. The woman who seems to be Indian wore a red choli with intricate gold work paired with an embellished dupatta. She looked stunning with her perfect bridal makeup and gorgeous gold jewellery. But what left social media users shocked was that she swapped her lehenga with a pair of black Nike shorts.
The picture went viral as soon as it was posted online, and Twitterati’s went savage. While some slammed the bride for her silly choice, some appreciated the fact that she didn’t care about social convention and ditched the torturous lehenga which is often as heavy as 15-20 kg.
