You love summer no doubt. You wear less make-up, you don’t have to be so high-maintenance with your beauty routine and plus, you get to have glowing, tan skinned that looks spectacular!

Extensive exposure to the sun however, can make certain skin conditions worse and damage your skin deeply. So, it’s better to take good care of your skin year-round and especially during summer.

Summer is the perfect time to replace your heavy-duty make-up for a lighter one, ideally with light coverage and SPF.

Due to the higher temperatures and prolonged sun exposure your skin bears, it’s important to let your skin breath through your make-up and at the same time protect it from UVA and UVB rays.

USE A MOISTURISING SHAVING CREAM

Avoid the dreaded painful razor burn by priming your skin beforehand.

Devote a few minutes before you shave your legs and apply generously a shaving cream preferrably with Aloe Vera and/or enriched with vitamin E and other moisturising nutrients. This way you care for your skin and have super smooth legs to flaunt at the beach (and city)!

QUENCH YOUR SKIN”S THIRST

The harsh sun can have it’s toll on your skin, leaving it sunburnt, dry and dull.

To avoid getting itchy, dehydrated skin, ensure you moisturise body and face daily after every single shower. Invest in a nutrient-rich moisturiser for your face and body. It will maintain your tan much longer and you  are minimize the chances of getting peeling-of skin due to a sunburn (Yikes!).

SPF LIKE THERE’S NO TOMORROW

You’re not really going to resist going to the beach and you really cannot be bothered to listen to your mum when she says, “Stay in the shade!” or “Don’t forget your hat and sunblock!”.

But hear us out. Wear sunscreen all day, every day.

Sunscreen protects your skin from the dangerous ultraviolet rays of the sun and ensures you don’t irreversibly damage your skin or worse, get melanoma. To enjoy the summer sun, just be more rigorous with your sunscreen!
