After playing good boy in two of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani, Ranveer Singh is turning black and al mysterious with his role as Alauddin Khilji in Padmavati. His look in Padmavati just got revealed and we are pretty sure it is gonna be as stunning as his previous ones, might be even more swoon-worthy!
His kohled eyes and that deadly scar below his eyes is enough to make him look all sexy and mysterious at the same time. After Deepika and Shahid, this is the third look revealed from Padmavati.
Both Shahid and Deepika’s looks got a bit of introduction on social media like Padmavati’s look was captioned “goddess queen” among other things, Shahid’s Ratan Singh was described as “saahas, samarthya aur samman ke Pratik”.
But Ranveer Singh’s look was just accompanied by the name Sultan Alauddin Khilji. One of his pictures show his dark tresses loose and his chest gloriously unwaxed. The blue-grey gaze is a little bit unsettling.
Padmavati is based on lore that 14th century ruler Alauddin Khilji fell madly in love with Padmini, the queen of Chittor. Choosing honour over a life in Delhi, Padmini and the other women of Chittor killed themselves by leaping into a fire – a practice called jauhar.
