A few days ago this little girl became an internet sensation without even trying. Many of the famous cricketers shared her video saying how cruel it was and how the parenting has degraded. Cricketers Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Shikhar Dhawan and Robin Uthappa had many sharp comments and advice for the (unseen) mother for abusing her child.
Well, the child is singer Toshi Sabri’s 3-year-old niece, Haya, and her uncle is not at all amused by how social media is holding the trial of his sister.
It was between 18th and 19th August when the cricketers took to social media to rebuke the mother of the girl and request the parents to be patient towards their children.
The video has racked up over 5 million views on Instagram at the time of writing this article, with hundreds of angry comments outraging over the mother’s ‘cruelty’.
Toshi has responded with a few views of his own that a total stranger is in no position to judge the mother of a child in a video of 1.5 minutes without knowing the circumstances and the position the mother is in.
He said that Haya was a stubborn and a very naughty child and sometimes parents have to toughen up to deal with the tantrums and the tears to make them learn. If they are scolding their child, it does not in any way mean that they do not love them.
“One cannot question a mother’s love by seeing a short video, if the others are feeling bad to see the child crying, as a mother, she must feel even more upset,”
HT quoted him saying.
Toshi said that the video was never meant to go viral, but was only meant for their family WhatsApp group.
“(She) wanted to show her brother and husband that how stubborn the girl has become,”
he said.

Well, Toshi is not wrong too, he raised a valid point of strangers judging the mother without knowing the things full well.
Parenting these days has become hard as it is and being under constant scrutinization of strangers, parents need to keep in mind that their every step is shaping their child.
But one simply cannot forget the crying face of Haya just on these words!
