Farhan Akhtar and wife Adhuna have made it public that they are ending their 15 year marriage. Speculations about their separation were at the all time high when Adhuna was nowhere to be seen at the premier of Farhan’s movie Wazir. She also gave miss at the Daboo Ratnani’s calender launch.
They issued a joint statement which read, “This is to announce that we, Adhuna and Farhan, have mutually and amicably decided to separate. Our children remain our priority and it is immensely important to us, as responsible parents, that they be protected from unwarranted speculation and public glare. We sincerely request that we are given the privacy that is required at this time to move forward in a dignified manner.”
The couple has stated that reason for this separation is ‘growing apart over the years’.
Farhan and Adhuna had been in a relation for three years before getting married. They have two daughters named Shakya and Akira. Farhan is known for his good at all skills be it direction, writing, singing or acting, whereas Adhuna is a celebrity stylist. She owns B-Blunt chain of salons and merchandises.
