Be it a pout, or a smile- each time your lips add to the charm of your pic. So as a return gift, shouldn’t you be doing something to keep them beautiful?

1. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush to scrub your lips gently. It removes the dead cells and increases blood circulation to your lips.

2. Using sugar, honey and organic coconut oil you can easily make a home-made lip scrub. Massage it on your lips gently, wash off after 30 seconds.

3. Moisturize your lips regularly. At day, apply hydrating lip balm and at night use petroleum jelly. Be it any season or any time, moisturize your lips. You can use cocoa butter, coconut oil or olive oil as natural moisturisers.

4. Sometimes when we remove make-up we tend to forget our lips. Don’t ever do this. Dab cotton in remover or olive oil and remove the lip liner and lip colour properly. Your lips need to breathe too.

5. Drink lots of water. It will hydrate your lips from inside. Add juicy fruits to your diet like- watermelon, lime, etc.

6. Don’t leave your lips when protecting your face from the UVs. Use SPF lip balms.

7. Quit smoking. The tobacco creates black spots on your lips, losing its glamour.

8. Use chocolate. Melt chocolate and add cocoa butter. Cool it and apply.

9. Many of us lick their lips. This is not at all a good practise. Stop it at once. Rather use a lip balm.

10. Mash the pomegranate seeds, mix it in a cold cream and apply. Turmeric powder and milk- make a paste and apply. Lime, rose water and beetroot oil massages are effective too.
