Gone are the days when just painting your nails in a single color was enough. Today is the time when there are special parlours just to give your nails a sassy make over. But you don’t need to go there every time you want to do your  nails.
Here we bring you some tricks to keep your tips glammed up.

1. If patience is not one of your key traits and you end up making a mess of wet nails here we are for rescue. Just dip your painted nails in a bowl of ice cold water for a quick dry.

2. Matte is the new trend be it lips or nails. To turn your glossy nails into matte hold your wet nails over steam for a few seconds. See the magic from glossy to matte.

3. When your nails chip instead of removing it and doing a new mani just coat it with a complimenting shade of glitter paint. Glittery ones are supposed to look uneven so are great for quick cover ups.

4. If colors don’t show up the way they should, opt for wearing white as the base coat.

5. File your nails in one direction and not in a haphazard manner to avoid tear. Use an emery board instead of metal file to avoid damage from metal.

6. Removing glitter paint can be a real mess. Apply a thin layer of school glue for easy removal.

7. Want a customized shade for your nails? Mix loose pigments like eye-shadow with clear paint to get your own color.

8. When applying a top coat, run the brush along the top edge (non-cuticle side) of the nail. This will seal in the raw edge of the polish to prevent chipping.

9. Tired of dry polishes? Spread petroleum jelly around the lip of the bottle before closing it to prevent the polish from drying shut.

10. Sitting near the fan for quick dry is a big mistake you are making. The air will just make bubbles and ruin your polish.

11. To keep your polishes organized paint a strip of polish on an adhesive file folder label, punch out a hole, and stick the paint sample on the top of the nail polish bottle.
