KATHAK is a type of northern Indian classical dance, with alternating passages of mime and dancing.
BHARATNATYAM is a major genre of Indian classical dance that originated in the Hindu temples of Tamil Nadu and neighboring regions used to express Hindu religious themes and spiritual ideas, particularly of Shaivism, but also of Vaishnavism and Shaktism.
CONTEMPORARY is a dance performance genre that developed during the mid-twentieth century and has since grown to become one of the dominant genres for formally trained dancers throughout the world.
KANDYAN encompasses various dance forms native to the area called Kandy of the central hills region in Sri Lanka.
