Lakme fashion week 2017 and Amazon India fashion week 2017 have given us some serious fashion goals for fashion summer 2k17. There are many fashion trends that started in 2016 and are going to stay in 2017 like capes, asymmetrical dresses, long trail trend etc. There is the floral pattern that will continue to be seen so you can invest in those too. But this year some new things have shimmered their way at the top of the trend list. Here are a few things that you can invest in without any doubt this season. Grab these looks and you will be the showstopper wherever you go.
1. Fringes
Yes ladies, the retro style is here this summer, latch onto the fringed dresses, skirts or some glittery blouses with beaded fringes and you will sparkle at the top of the best dressed lists. Anavila, Arpita Mehta, Nupur Kanoi and Payal Singhal all are experimenting with fringes on sarees, blouses capes and what not.
2. White and Ivory:
Jayanti Reddy, Poonam Dubey, Anavila showed us that yes this color never goes out of fashion. Last season, all the beauties donned the color in style, this summer too the color rocks, it can be combined with gold, silvers, peaches, blacks in either floral or lined or block pattern. The new thing that will be seen this year is that ivory is used with so pop-up color like yellow or blue or red like in designs by Jayanti Reddy. 3. Off Shoulder
Designs by Anushree Reddy, Label by Ritu Kumar, SVA by Sonam and Paras Modi tell that sharp shoulder blades are trendy this season too. Invest in some off shoulder outfit and flaunt your collarbone with swag. Be it anything, Lehenga, jumpsuit, indo western gowns, tops, saree blouse, off shoulder will help you tick off all the right boxes.
4. Contemporary Dresses:
Saree and lehengas combines with crop tops or off shoulder blouses, sarees and kurtis with dhoti pants, you can experiment a lot as these contemporary dresses are here to stay in the game this year too, you think and it is there. Jayanti Reddy and Rabaani and Rakkha collection favours contemporary dresses.
5. Chanderi:
This season the big names like Divyam Mehta, Payal Pratap and Gaurav Gupta, all paid ode to the elegance of handloom in the Amazon India Fashion week 2017. Soft and pleated silhouettes, Gingham sarees and Angrakha blouses and maxi skirts and asymmetric dresses, could be seen there.
6. Leather:
Combine your traditional dresses with some leather belts to cinch your waist. This year leather will be seen teamed up with sarees and kurtis. Gauri and Nainika Karan collaborated with New-York based designer label Zana Bayne and paired their dresses with belts and body cages; it gave quite an edge to the soft look of traditional dresses.
