Today, when environmentalists are struggling everyday to bring forth solutions to conserve natural resources and help reduce pollution, a cab driver in Kolkata has come up with a unique idea of a ‘Green taxi’. Dhananjay Chakrabarty keeps plants inside his taxi and a bed of grass on top of it.
This cab driver is inspiring people to adopt eco-friendly measures through his green taxi which is yellow in colour. He nurtures his greenery everyday by watering the grass and plants. The plants kept inside the cab and the grass on the roof keep the taxi cool. The passengers also love travelling in this unique green taxi, not only because the taxi is eco-friendly but also because the travelling fare is lesser relative to the other AC taxis.
