A family photograph shot for Christmas went viral when people called it sexist. The photograph was taken by Hannah Hawkes Photography. The idea was meant to be funny and comical but things took a different turn when people on internet started calling it sexist.
How could none of them think that this could be interpreted in such a way. No one from the family of five and photographer herself thought of the picture being something sexist. All they wanted was Peace on Earth.
The photograph was shot having pine trees in background. The three ladies including two daughters are tied up using Christmas lights. Their mouth has been shut up using neon green duct tape. The father kneels behind with sign ‘Peace on Earth’. While the little son is standing giving camera a thumbs up.
The people are pointing the fact that the society wants women to shut up. They just want to silence their voice and opinions. They are asking the photographer and the family that is this the way Christmas is celebrated. Are women someone who just blabber and nag? Does this mean men can not enjoy things with women around? For their peace they want women to keep quite and they don’t do that they will silence them.
In her defence Hannah posted that this was taken in a fun way and it was just meant for a laugh.
