Traditional relationships are so rare these days; Long live social media! It is helping people these days to find love online. These are the stages of a typical modern day relationship.
Stage 1- Social Media
It starts with poking, liking pictures and check-ins, commenting on each other’s photographs, favoriting and retweeting, etc. Basically, you stalk each other on social media.
2- Private Texting
In this stage, you guys start exchanging Facebook messages and DMs, using loads of emoticons. You actually use all the emojis you can in a single conversation.
Step 3- Calling
This stage starts when one of you two makes a move to call the other person. You talk for hours on phone about anything and everything.
Step 4- Dating
You meet each other in person at stage four. You chill, you got out with each other and decide if you still like this person after meeting. And if yes, then you start seeing other for real.
Step 5- The Tag
Now that you are seeing each other, the question about your relationship status pops in your head. So you ask the other person “Hum aapke hai kaun?” and you guys make it official. Now you are “in a relationship” on Facebook.
Step 6- Puppy Love
Oh this stage! This is the “honeymoon period” of your relationship. You send each other those lovey-dovey (and cheesy) messages, and cute (but useless) gifts such as teddy bears and personalized pillows.
Step 7- The Reality Check
After the honeymoon period gets over, comes Stage 7, which is sometimes the last stage for couples. You get super comfortable with each other and open up to each other completely. All the fights, trust issues, jealousy, are a part of this stage. You ask for each other passwords; it is actually the stage of Invasion of privacy!
Stage 8- Proposal
If you survive stage 7, then comes the proposal and exchange of rings. You are in a long term relationship which usually ends at you guys getting married.
